Chivalry is not dead in the Alliance Empty
PostSubject: Chivalry is not dead in the Alliance   Chivalry is not dead in the Alliance I_icon_minitimeSat Aug 04, 2007 1:46 am

i've been quite critical of certain Alliance players lately. couple of incidents which have highlighted that not all Horde are arseholes and not all arseholes are Horde but needed to share this with you.
Were i, like my character, a girl, indeed a girl who gets in more damsel in distress scrapes than Penelope Pitstop, i'd feel a warm fuzzy glow at the rampant chivalry of it all. As it is i still feel a warm fuzzy glow at the rampant chivalry of it all.
That worries me more than the afternoon i spent in the odeon at wester Hailes watching bridget jones 2, wailing 'all by myself' munching down a kilo bar of Galaxy chocolate and liberally swigging from a bottle of Blue Nun.

So, there i was, in an arid wasteland so reminiscent of Tatooine i reckon George Lucas is gonna sue someone at Blizzard (i.e Tanaris) when i was serial sapped by a horde rogue (undead of course all the saddest little shits are). Eventually he tired (or it was time for his farleys rusks and nappy change) of his infantile abuse of blizzards gaping hole in PvP (sap doesn't trip your PvP flag, handy in your own territory cos you can be a pain in the arse to your hearts content and noone can touch you) and his undead mage mate took over and began casting a rather nasty firebolty thingy but he shrewdly kept it brewing untill AFTER i dragged out my trusty PvP macro and started laying the smack down on him which, since it was just outside gadgetzan got me pannelled by the bruisers.

oops

So i decided to ress and bail out to do my quests at which time the fucker panneled me again and this time without any comeback on him from the bruisers (always knew those buggers were secret horde loving scumbags). So i ressed agin and retaliated and got pannelled by the bruisers.
Next time i ressed i kept a wary distrance and he came at me anyway sensing he was going to get away with doing it again.

At which point (Keith thankfully gets to the point) 3 Alliance guys come piling out of Gadgetzan and actually form a line in front of me and tell mr hordey (this is direct quote) 'NOT going to happen!' who decided discretion was better part of valor (actually he was horde so more likely he just plain shat it off 4 of us) and ran for the hills.

Awwwwwwwww. such sweet boys. I was quite overcome. Not so overcome i didn't get myself a fair idea of the guys name (his card is marked GANK IN PERPETUITY! as of now)

So that gave me this little anecdote about how WoW can sometimes bring out the best in people.

That is a sweet tale that warms the very cockles of my jaded heart. I also had a couple of odd hordey run-ins yesterday.

In the desolate Desolace, there I was gubbing nasty Magram centaurs (as I have been assured that they are nasty evil centaur clan-who step on bugs and kill fluffy bunnies) by the dozen to attempt to ingratiate myself with the Gelkis centaurs (who I have been assured are nice and good and don't harras small animals or steal kids).

Mr ?? Orc Shaman comes riding up to me on what looked suspiciously like an Ostrich. Now EggP is not frightened of Ostriches (I, myself, am apprehensive) so I stood my ground. Waved at him, he gasped (at my human beauty or the audacity don't know which) and I thought that I would dance with Mr. Shaman-he danced too! Even setting up those totem posts as disco lights. Must have looked odd from afar. After that with a cheery wave we went our separate ways. Made a change from the Gank-Camp we usually get.
