Add on sticky :D

I know there was a post about this topic..i just thought a sticky would be better as it wouldnt get lost as posts increase.

to use add ons you need to goto your WoW folder-----interface----addons.

99.99% of Addons come in a zip formate..just unzip your new add on into th ADDONS folder and you are done.

Especially since Burning Crusade came out quite a few add ons wont work, to check this Boot up WoW...enter your username and password press enter, Now you are in the Character Selection screen.....in the bottom left of the screen there is a button that says add ons...press it, if it says incompatible obviously it cant be used, If it says Out of Date you may be able to use it if you press the Load out of Date add ons buttons.

and there u go, fairly easy...but remember read the user instructions on each MOD

remember make backups of old files and use all mods at your own risks

and finally this one is a must for miners and herb gatherers. what it does is share info about where the nodes are and how much u get from them. and can be displayed on map and minimap for u to see

I clicked on this link and downloaded auctioneer 4 added it to my addons and nothing is happening why is this?

did you extract the file kira?

as in take it out of the winzip/rar file and put its files in there?

Yes Tem, i had already done all that and still nothin, im not the only one experiencing this problem, but i cant understand why it will not work!

I've not got one single add-on or anything on the game
maybe thats why my character is soo piss.

recommend any?

I cant post UI as im at work. But for you(me) PVP freaks out there, i recommend

Metahud - an excellent addon that gives you all kinds of options and puts you and your enemys health/mana etc around your character, making it easier to spot hp/mana left etc.

Energywatch - for rogues and druids its a must! timing is everything!

Also CT_mailmod - for you slackers like myself who are far to lazy to write 15 dif mails when you wanna mail 15 diff things.

and last but not least

CT_buffmod - To rearrange buffs to some other place on screen...
