Now this is a good idea. I have made Teamspeak servers before and would have no problem in doing it again..my only problem is my upload speed isnt great, so if we had 12 people form around europe on it..i doubt i would be able to play wow, Does anyone here have a good upload speed?? Thx Temujin

well fast as possible would be good....but failing that more than 256Kbps would be good. and a Static IP is a total bonus too

The upstream of my connection is 1.2 - 1.6, but I suspect there are people with way higher connection speeds. I don't have a static IP, but i am prepared to set up a speakserver if someone will take the time to explain how it's done. L8r potatoes.

Me and some friends already have a TeamSpeak server up and running. We have a 100MB/s fiber connection so thats nice. It runs on a dedicated Linux box. You can check it out if you want. Address is teamspeak://ts.c54.mala.se (link only usable with Windows and TeamSpeak installed) I even wrote a little status page on our website. It's in english even tho the website is in swedish. http://www.c54.mala.se/?page=/cgi-bin/teamspeak.plIf you like it I can add a Crusaders subchannel under the World of Warcraft channel. /Cheers

Another thing that's nice is a TS viewer plugin you can get for the site, I know of the e107 version I used to use, but I'm sure there's one for most kind of sites. This is very encouraging, cause ppl who may be deciding whether to play see their mate online and are more keen to join them. This would proabably be best on a dedicated Giuld TS as I'm not sure other ppl would appreciate folks seeing them online. Anyway food for thought.... BTW If we had TS youd be able to listem to my beautiful Aussie accent.

My swenglish isn't bad either. Anyway, about the people that may don't want others to see if the're online. Simple, they don't have to connect. Thru the gui of Teamspeak you'll see everyone that's online. There's no invisible mode. Not that many others use the server. There's a Urban Terror clan and a few friends. The same rule apply to everyone who uses it. If you don't like it, leave. Btw, the channels are password protected so you won't be eavesdropped that easily. Spelling? A separate channel with Horde and Alliance subchannels could be nice. It's ALOT easier to down bosses if you can talk to eachother. Let me know what you think. Til next time.

Thanks Voren ! Its a great idea to use an already established one, and with such a quick connection it would be great. one question though, Would it be possible to put 2 channels in?...one for horde use and one for alliance use? Damn i should have read this thread earlier

personaly i have no knowledge of team speak, so i am told you can open a channel with upto 30 people talking and would find that very confusing. also using skype or team speak does make the guild chat suffer and excludes people not using it i do think its a good idea though for raids, instances etc, so count me in!! its very kind of you veron to suggest using your server perhaps we could use it on the horde side and see how we get on with it

No worries guys. We can create how many channels you like. There's no, that i know of, limit on have many channels you can have. One idea is to create a top level channel where users has a possibility to create their own temporary subchannels. If some of you would like to create any additional channels just let me know.

Lets get this off the ground then, I've been having a look, and this is a better provider from what I can tell. http://www.clanwarz.com/teamspeak.htmlIf you wish, I dont mind to pay for the first month as a trial, and we'll see how it goes, if alls good we can see who is willing to contribute (me for 1) and guild admin can set it up to be more permenant. I'll have a scout atround and if everyone agrees I'll get it set up. Cheers

There is a contribute facility to help me pay for the website, if we wanted to do the teamspeak thingy then im more than willing to pay for it if ppl contribute. So far i have had contributed to the website the massive sum of...... £0.00 But i dont mind doing it, but i will check with my server provider to see if they can do a teamspeak facility for us, then i can get it incorporated into my fees for the website. more to follow
